Certification in BHC ORS Administration Course

The Behavioral Health Observation Rating Scale (ORS) is an evaluation tool developed over two years with a dedicated cohort of Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs) within a multi-organizational network. The BHC Observation Rating Scale (ORS) is set to revolutionize PCBH practices by introducing a standardized method for evaluating BHC skill development and providing specific areas for supervisors to provide feedback and training. The certification also empowers supervisors to “certify” their BHC supervisees, adding prestige and standards-based recognition to the BHC workforce.

Tailored for real-time evaluation of PCBH competencies in clinical environments, it covers essential aspects such as team communication, efficiency in documentation, and sophisticated clinical techniques, including Motivational Interviewing and contextual assessments. As an evaluator, you gain the exclusive advantage of observing and assessing both live and recorded patient sessions and BHC interactions, culminating in a detailed numeric score and specific feedback to enhance BHC clinical performance.

Part 2: To apply these skills, course participants will choose and observe a BHC in your organization. Utilizing the ORS, you’ll perform an in-depth evaluation of their competencies. This hands-on experience is enriched with detailed feedback from our seasoned facilitators.
