Project duration: About 2 years
Project goal: Develop and deliver counseling services to latino migrant farmworkers and their families across North Carolina using telehealth to primary care centers.
This was a fun project to work on! The problem of access to Spanish speaking mental health professionals is significant and a counseling center in Durham, NC had the solution. Since they had a cadre of excellent Spanish-speaking mental health professionals, they could meet some of the need across the state using telehealth. CFHA helped train the telehealth providers, assisted with integration in the primary care environments and helped with implementation.
